KRA Launches Multi-Vendor Electronic Cargo Seal Framework
On 27 October 2026, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) began implementing its Multi-Vendor User-Owned Electronic Seals Framework, ending a nine-year monopoly and introducing competition in electronic cargo seal provision. The new framework requires all seals to integrate with the East African Community Regional Electronic Cargo Tracking System.
